Dashing defender Caleb Daniel was recognised for a superb season by being in the All Australian team for the first time, on Thursday night.
The 24-year-old was named in the final 22 alongside Western Bulldogs teammates Marcus Bontempelli and Jack Macrae.
Both praised Daniel’s impact for the Bulldogs throughout 2020.
Marcus Bontempelli on Caleb Daniel…
I’m so pumped for Caleb.
His football has been at a similar level for the last few years, but he’s probably taken it up another notch this year.
He’s been a player we’ve relied on heavily for his productivity with ball in hand and he’s such a workhorse for us.
We rely on his tank and his ability to run out games really well, but both he and Jacko are such big reasons to why we’e been able to make the most of this season and get ourselves into a finals position.
Jack Macrae on Caleb Daniel…
He’s had a tremendous season and the way he’s grown as a player the last few years has been really enjoyable to watch.
This year above every other year, his ball use obviously stands out to everyone, but his defensive aspects and the leadership side of his game has grown so much.
He’s the type of player you love running out alongside.
