The Western Bulldogs are delighted to have secured Justin Sherman in exchange for the end-of-first-round compensation pick the Club received for Jarrod Harbrow.

General Manager of Football James Fantasia said today that the Bulldogs could not be happier after securing the exciting Tasmanian.

“Our number 1 priority at the beginning of trade week was to secure Justin and we are thrilled to have him at the Club.  Justin will inject some terrific pace into our side and we believe he will be a dangerous player for us at either end of the ground,” Fantasia said.

Sherman said that he was relieved that both the Bulldogs and Brisbane were able to agree on a suitable trade.

“I really had my heart set on joining the Bulldogs and I am very excited to get down there to start the pre season.  I have now had the chance to meet a lot of people at the Club and I know that this was the right move for me.  The Bulldogs have a terrific list and I just hope I can be a part of something special with this group,” Sherman said.

Fantasia also said that the Club was thrilled with the results of a fruitful trade period.

“We had specific goals at the beginning of the week and we have managed to achieve each of these.  We targeted Justin Sherman, Patrick Veszpremi and Nathan Djerrkura who will all be terrific additions to our side.  On top of that we have also secured Mitch Wallis and Tom Liberatore under the father-son rule.  It really has been a fantastic few days for the Western Bulldogs and our fans should be very excited,” Fantasia said.
