What club did you support growing up?
In the early 80s, I supported Richmond because that was the Mildura area team, but when I went to Queensland, I supported Hawthorn.
Using one word, how would you describe the life of an AFL footballer?
Challenging.
What is your favourite team to play against and why?
Brisbane. I know them really well so I can help with the planning and stuff like that.
Is the game becoming too fast?
No.
What is your favourite football memory?
The premierships were pretty good. Probably the first premiership.
What would you call the new Gold Coast and West Sydney team if you had naming power?
The Gold Coast Sharks and the West Sydney Bulls.
If you could be any other player, who would you be?
Buddy Franklin. He's tall and I'm short. I've always wanted to be tall.
THE TEAM
Who's the most annoying player to room with when you go interstate, and why?
I've only roomed with Dale Morris so it would have to be him. He always puts the toilet seat down and closes the door all the time. I always leave it up and the door open. He's too well-trained.
What's the funniest prank any of your teammates have played on you?
The funniest prank I've seen was at Mad Monday last year where Cameron Wight had to eat a chilli. To get the taste of the chilli out, he started to drink some beer, and that made it worse, so we told him, ‘The only thing that is going to save you is milk’, so he started drinking the milk and was yelling, ‘It's not working’, and then he yelled, ‘Oh my God, there's a chilli in the milk’. Someone had put chilli in the milk and it was all infested with chilli. It was so funny. I don't know who was behind the chilli in the milk but it was very humorous.
Who considers himself the most fashionable at the club?
Daniel Giansiracusa tries to be.
Who would be the most un-fashionable?
Will Minson. He's still got Reebok Pumps. He's such a dork.
Who's got the best singing voice?
Besides me? I haven't been here long enough to see the others boys sing yet.
What's an amusing fact about one of your teammates that not many people know?
'Boydy' plays golf left-handed, even though he kicks right-handed, Bob Murphy doesn't like small talk, and I have a pin-ball machine called 'Theatre of Magic'. Oh and Rocket's got really neat handwriting. I remember sitting in a meeting and looking up and thinking, "Gee Rocket's got neat handwriting". It's amazing what comes into your head when you're sitting there before a game. Not a lot of guys have neat handwriting, but of all the coaches I've had, he's got the best handwriting.
If you had to pick one of your teammates to take on a date, who would it be?
Daniel Cross, because he's such a nice fella.
What's the funniest Rocket moment you can think of?
I'm always telling him jokes, and he told me a funny joke one day but I can't tell you about that. It was pretty funny.
AT HOME
Who do you live with?
My wife, Megan.
Who does the cooking?
Megan.
How are you in the kitchen?
Megan won't let me cook. I can cook, but not very well. I will be able to cook when I retire because I'm going to go and have cooking lessons. At the moment, I'm so busy and she's such a good cook … whenever I go to anyone else's house, I remind myself how lucky I am because she's such a good cook.
If you were having Rodney Eade around for dinner, what would you cook?
I'd have to ask the wife. She can cook anything. But I'd cook him whatever he's not allergic too.
Who does the housework at your place?
I do most of it, but we pay a cleaner to come in. I'm always the cleanest – I like things in order.
What's your most used appliance and why?
TV, because everyone watches TV.
Do you have any pets?
My wife would say the Aga, but I have two golden retrievers called Reggie and Yogi.

I piss people off too much with words, apparently. I always upset people because I talk too much.

Summer in Japan, or France.
What's your idea of a perfect day?
Flying to Phillip Island and having a day there on my motorbike, and then going to play golf in the afternoon, then fly in a helicopter to another place to play more golf, and then go out and having drinks and a good feed somewhere.
What action hero would you most like to be, and why?
Superman. You can help people, you can fly and see through clothes. All men want x-ray vision.
What sort of car do you drive?
A Werribee Mitsubishi.

I think I've got a Holly Valance song that really shouldn't be in there.
