The Western Bulldogs today welcomed six new players to the Club after using all their allocated picks in today’s AFL Pre-season and Rookie Drafts.
 
The Bulldogs’ first and only selection (11th overall) in the AFL Pre-season Draft was used for 197cm exciting tall forward, Fletcher Roberts from Sandringham Dragons.
 
Roberts emerged as a hot draft prospect after booting a match-winning five goals, including four in the final quarter in the TAC Cup grand final earlier this year.
 
The Bulldogs selected the following players with their remaining Rookie Draft picks:
 
Pick #9 - Lin Jong (Oakleigh Chargers)
Jong comes to the Bulldogs from TAC Cup side Oakleigh Chargers. 188cm athletic midfielder, with a huge vertical leap. Played in a number of positions for the Chargers including ruck. Was named in the best eight times in his 14 appearances in 2011.

Pick #27 - Tom Campbell (Bendigo Bombers)
Campbell is a powerful ruckman from Bendigo Bombers. Was named their best first year player at the Club in 2011.

Pick #45 - Alex Greenwood (Eastern Ranges)
Represented Vic Metro at the NAB AFL U18 Championships. His clearance work around stoppages, clean hands and creativity with the ball is of the highest quality. Greenwood’s precise kicking on both feet is also a feature of his game.

Pick #62 - Jack Redpath (Kyneton)
Redpath comes to the Club from Kyneton and has also spent time at Bendigo Bombers. Just 20 years old, Redpath tested impressively in the 20m sprint. A strong power forward with clean hands and thumping kick. Pick

#76 - Mark Austin (Carlton)
Austin, a 193cm  key defender, played 15 games at Carlton and has been training with the Club this pre-season. Strong body at 95kg.
