The plaudits continue for Ryan Griffen this week, with the Western Bulldogs’ leading midfielder receiving top votes in the round 17 AFL Coaches’ Association votes.

Moving into sixth place in the overall leaderboard, Griffen has cemented his spot as one of the premier players in the competition this season, as he continues to deal with a heavy tag each week.

Griffen could not be contained against Hawthorn on Saturday, amassing 37 possessions, five clearances, five inside 50s and two goals – obtaining a maximum ten votes in the AFLCA voting.

Adam Cooney (four) and Daniel Giansiracusa (two) were also rewarded votes for their efforts against the top of the table side.
