Mighty Morphin’ Midfielders
With Matt Kennedy’s arrival from Carlton and Joel Freijah’s terrific start to his sophomore season, the Bulldogs’ new-look midfield has been firing on all cylinders, both with and without skipper Marcus Bontempelli.
Kennedy and Freijah’s AFL Ratings points were the sixth and seventh highest in the league for Round 7 respectively; also marking the second consecutive week Freijah has finished in the top 10 ratings for a round.

Naughty-cal Milestone
Saturday’s clash in Canberra saw Aaron Naughton notch up 150 appearances in the red, white and blue, becoming the 54th Bulldog in VFL/AFL history to achieve this feat.
Of these players, 63% marked their sesquicentennial anniversaries with a win. The last three 150-game Bulldogs (Naughton, Bailey Dale and Bailey Williams) have all celebrated by taking home four points.
Parking The Buss
Debutant Jedd Busslinger found himself right at home in the nation’s capital, spending 84% of the match on the ground.
This is the highest time-on-ground (TOG) percentage for a Bulldogs’ debutant since Round 5, 2019, when former Bulldog Lachie Young debuted with a TOG% of 85.
