Bulldogs make three changes
Midfield prime-movers Adam Cooney and Matthew Boyd will line-up for the Western Bulldogs against Collingwood on Sunday, with final teams for the twilight clash released.
With Senior Coach Brendan McCartney making three changes to the line-up that prevailed over Port Adelaide, versatile big man Lukas Markovic has also been recalled for the round 12 clash.
All three have not made a senior appearance since the Club’s round eight Gold Coast away fixture.
While Boyd has been restricted to the sidelines with a calf injury, Cooney has spent the last three weeks rehabilitating a minor hamstring bleed, with both cleared to play following Thursday’s main training session.
The experienced pair will add composure and grunt to the Dogs’ midfield as they go head-to-head with a seasoned Collingwood engine room.
Markovic also comes into the side as a versatile tall option, given an opportunity to build on the promise shown in his earlier two games this year that produced a return of five goals.
The 26-year-old is a direct replacement for Tom Williams who sustained a season-ending shoulder injury in the second quarter against Port Adelaide in Darwin.
Mitch Wallis and Nathan Hrovat are omissions from side, joining ruckman Tom Campbell as emergencies.
