Jarrad Grant will line up for his first game of the season for the Footscray Bulldogs on Saturday when they take on Sandringham at Simonds Stadium.
The skilful forward is set to make his long-awaited return to football after injuring his foot in the pre-season.
The Bulldogs near clean bill of health sees 19 listed players named in the side to take on St Kilda’s VFL affiliate, with a spread of talent and experience across each line.
Footscray’s strong contested style of football will be well represented in the Bulldogs onball stocks, with Clay Smith, Lin Jong, Koby Stevens, Mitch Wallis and Brett Goodes among those to share the duties.
The ruck stocks in Tom Campbell and Ayce Cordy will also put up a challenge for Sandringham, both hitting form in recent weeks.
The Zebras will put up a challenging task, however, sitting third on the VFL ladder with four wins and a draw from five rounds.
The game will commence at 1:10pm on Saturday at Simonds Stadium and will be broadcast on ABC TV as this week’s nominated televised match.
