Over $40,000 of Mars products were donated to local football clubs in the Ballarat region last week as part of the 2025 Western Bulldogs and Mars Community Football Initiative.

Proudly supported by Mars, the initiative saw the Western Bulldogs donate close to 17,000  Mars products to all 48 clubs in the Ballarat and Central Highlands football leagues.

“Through our renewed partnership with Mars, we are working closely together to continue to invest into community sport in the Ballarat and surrounding regions,” Bulldogs Head of Partnerships Sarah Armstrong explained.

“The aim of these initiatives is to ease the burden on local volunteers and continue strengthening local clubs by providing products that can be sold to generate revenue for the clubs.”

“Football plays a great part in the community of people’s lives in Ballarat and also our associates that work for us,” Mars Wrigley CFO Duncan Webster said.

“It’s great to be able to give them something back through such a simple initiative.

“This is one of the things why we are super excited to continue to sponsor Mars Stadium in association with the Bulldogs...giving back to the community really is a matter of pride for our associates and pride from our organisation.”

Simon Clark from East Point Football Club expressed his gratitude.

“Being a community based club, we have to fundraise and raise our own funds through sponsorships, so any extra bit will help,” Clark said.

“This is a different initiative, but having two pretty significant names like Mars and the Western Bulldogs putting back into what has also become their local community means they will see the benefits of it directly.”
