It was a record-breaking night at Victoria University Whitten Oval on many levels, as the Western Bulldogs hosted the inaugural AFL Women's Pride Match on Friday.
Even before the first ball had been bounced, the AFLW Pride Gamehad captivated the attention of many as defender Hannah Scott shared her own personal journey with BulldogsTV in the lead-up to the night.
Super proud to belong to the @westernbulldogs @BulldogsW football club. 12 years ago I came out, and you fight to belong.. some people fight their entire lives. I know I am where I am meant to be #pridegame #proud #RealStrength

The strength of any club comes from those within it. Those welcomed. Those who thrive once there. They’re the ones who define a club’s character. This is such a great story of mutual benefit. #AFLWPrideGame https://t.co/Y9o92MOiP9
