The Western Bulldogs played host to the Honorable Nick Kotsiras, Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship last week at Whitten Oval.

The Minister was on hand to see the Club’s community partnerships and programs in action and to learn more about its work with multicultural communities in the west.

Chief Executive, Simon Garlick and Chair of SpiritWest Services’ Advisory Board, Gaye Hamilton guided the Minister through Whitten Oval’s new Club Community Sports Hall, Whitten Oval’s Conference Facilities and the Mission Elite Learning Centre.

The Western Bulldogs has been at the forefront of engaging with its multicultural communities, as seen through its Settlement Grants Program which particularly accommodates newly arrived refugees and the 'More than A Game' project, which sees the Club working closely with local Jewish and Islamic young people.

Through innovative program delivery and community partnerships, the Club has engaged with over 40,000 multicultural groups and individuals in the last 5 years alone.
