The bonds of a football club links players past and present together like family, but in the case of father and son Mark and Lachie Hunter, those ties were forged well before Lachie first wore Bulldogs colours.

As players, the duo could not be more different with Lachie rotating between the forward line and wing in his debut year, while his father forged his career in the back six.

The significance is not lost at this year’s 'Legends and Young Guns' event where the two will headline a panel, which highlights the past greats and emerging stars of the Western Bulldogs.

Hosted by the East-West Club supporter group, this unique opportunity gives members and fans the chance to hear from the father- son pair, as well as the Bulldogs' 2012 first round draftees Jake Stringer, Jack Macrae and Nathan Hrovat on their journey so far.

To complement the crop of young talent on the panel, early 1990’s leading goalkicker Danny Del Re will join Mark Hunter to reminisce their glory days and discuss their ongoing ties with the Club.

Western Bulldogs Chief Executive (and past player) Simon Garlick will also participate in a question and answer session, as will Recruiting Officer Dan Fisher and a Bulldogs assistant coach.
