Williamstown Senior Coach and Western Bulldogs Development Coach Peter German looks at how Bulldogs listed players are faring for Williamstown when they took on South Adelaide in the Foxtel Cup.

Tom Hill: It probably wasn’t as good a performance as what he has produced earlier this year. It was his first week back after a week off. Probably only an average performance from Hill.

Andrew Hooper: Played in defence again and was ok in that role at times. He was offensive with some run out of the back half. We will keep persevering with him in that role trying to teach him how to defend.

Brodie Moles: He kicked a nice goal on the run and set up another goal with a good kick under pressure. Again after his long lay-off it will probably take a few weeks until he really hits his straps. There were some better signs on the weekend that he can hopefully build on.

Williamstown are bringing footy back to Whitten Oval this Sunday at 2pm as they line up against Coburg FC. Details here.

James Mulligan: James was pretty good down back. He defended really well on his opponent on the lead and in the air. I thought he was probably one of our better defenders on the day.

Matt Panos: Panos played forward and kicked two goals - possibly could have kicked four in a low scoring game. It would have been nice for him to finish off a couple more opportunities that he had. It was probably one of his better games in recent weeks where he was just stronger in the contest and created a good target for us up forward.

Fletcher Roberts: Fletch played down back. It was probably not one of his better games in the standard he has set so far for us. Most times he has been really solid as a defender and strong in the contest whereas his man found a bit of space this week and was able to be an effective forward. He was disappointed in some parts of his game so he has worked hard this week already to rectify that.

Zeph Skinner: He mainly played up forward and played in the ruck a little bit at times. He was ok and came up the ground a little bit at times to be able to give us some more options through the midfield. It was a steady game by Zeph but we are looking to get a bit more from him if we can.

Clay Smith: We always knew we were only going to play him for just over 50% of the game. He laid our most tackles. His kicking was a little bit off, especially early. As the game went on he was a really strong contributor around the stoppages for us.

Alex Greenwood: Greeny was in and out of the game a bit. He had about 8 or 9 possessions but it was only a shortened game. He used the ball well and we are still working hard with all parts of his game. We are expecting him to keep developing each week.

Lin Jong: Jong was quite good. He was strong in the contest, finding some really good contested ball - to be able to use it well in heavy traffic was really pleasing. We think Jong is starting to develop his all round game and we are pleased but we will still keep working with him in that area.

Jack Redpath: Another player who is a work in progress. He came up and presented well up in the midfield so we were really pleased with how he was able to track the ball up through the middle and be able to use it at times going inside 50. He took a nice strong mark early as well. He didn’t hit the scoreboard but that was mainly probably because he played further up the ground.
