Western Bulldogs Development Coach and Williamstown Senior Coach Peter German looks at how the Bulldogs listed players are faring in the VFL.

Jason Tutt: Tutt was lively as a forward and kicked three goals. He showed some really good bursts of pace and after his spell he has come back and shown that he is maybe clean enough to be considered for senior selection.

Matt Panos: He played forward and kicked two first quarter goals. He had a couple of opportunities to kick another couple but just got caught with the ball. His attack on the ball was good and we were pleased with his approach to the game. If a bit of luck went his way he could have quite easily kicked four goals and hopefully that is a game he can really keep building on.

Jarrad Grant: Grant played half forward and had some real good opportunities to hit the scoreboard but probably didn’t take them through a couple of set shots. We are expecting a bit more from him in the next couple of weeks.

Zephaniah Skinner: Skinner was ok, he played up the ground a bit more this week and did his best work in and around the stoppages and up around the wings. Had one set shot with a really good mark in the forward 50. Again we need to get a little bit more from Zephy and his effectiveness when he is playing closer to goals.

Pat Veszpremi: Patty played down back and then we pushed him forward in the last quarter. He was ok. In the conditions a few times we would have liked him to be a little bit more composed. He won some really good contested football and each week hopefully it is continued learning for Patty to play the way we want him to play.

Daniel Pearce: He started slowly but then built up. He was ok on his man - a few times he got caught in between but he laid some good strong tackles and he is a smart footballer who is still learning his craft.

Brodie Moles: Brodie played mainly on the wing, half forward. He was ok without being one of our best players. Six tackles was a really good plus for him this week - that is an area that we obviously want to continue to talk to him about. We were really pleased that he attacked the man with the ball really well at times and was able to create some turnovers.

Jason Johannisen: JJ down back - just a steady game. Again another player who has had a bit of a layoff. A few times when he really attacked the ball and used his speed he still shows that exciting x factor that he has got with his speed. He has to continue to learn how to defend and attack and get that balance right.

Fletcher Roberts: Fletch was solid. I don’t think his opponent did much on the day. Starting to use the ball a bit better - we really think that he is a clever decision maker and the more he plays and the more confidence he gets and the better his decisions get. He kicked out and really used his kicking skills effectively on the day.

Lin Jong: Limited game time this week and probably hasn’t been one hundred per cent over the last couple of weeks. We rested him at the end because he looked a little bit jaded. He laid some good tackles at times and attacked the ball like he does.

Tom Williams: He came back and played mainly down back. Was probably a steady return which you would expect after a long layoff and the injuries that he had. We are just pleased that he got through the game of football. We expect that from here on he should be able to improve to the point where he forces his way back to senior footy.

Nathan Djerrkura: Djitty was probably down a little bit on his previous game but still attacks the ball hard. We were pleased with some of his run but probably wasn’t as influential as he was the week before.

Michael Talia: Tals was pretty good. He played on Aaron Edwards for most of the day and I think he kept him pretty quiet. Again he is another player that we will continue to teach how to defend and how to help his teammates defend as well. On the weekend you could say that he took the points in his battle with Edwards.
