While Jones is set to line up at centre half forward, Christian Howard,Fletcher Roberts and Clay Smith are also in the selection mix as part of an extended interchange.

Defender Howard has been pressing his claim for senior selection at Williamstown for a number of weeks after being restricted to the sidelines through injury since round 1.

“Coming into the squad is Christian Howard after a good fortnight at Williamstown coming off some knee complaints,” Montgomery said.

His ability to provide run out of the back half and skilful ball use would be a welcome addition to the back six.

In and under midfielder Smith has also looked first rate for Williamstown in previous weeks, as he seeks to add to his five game tally.

Meanwhile key defender Roberts could be given the nod to bolster the defensive stocks and make his debut after impressing consistently this year in the VFL.

“We have fletcher Roberts who is a good 19 year old developing tall again learning his craft down at Williamstown and Clay Smith also comes into the squad,” Montgomery said.

“As our list becomes healthier by the week, our lineup becomes even more settled with us having to make fewer and fewer changes.

“So the backline becoming very settled, our midfield group that is starting to do some good things working together and our young, developing forward group that will only become better playing more time in the area.”

The Bulldogs squad will not be finalised until tomorrow for the Port Adelaide Clash  at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
