Eleven young students from Centralian Middle School Northern Territory were special guests at Whitten Oval last Thursday as part of the Reboot 2012 project.

Showing initiative in their community, the group of Year 9 students launched the Reboot project in an aim to kit out as many kids in rural NT communities with footy boots as possible.

The students in partnership with the Western Bulldogs, Victoria University and Bunnings Warehouse have driven the classroom idea into a nation-wide charitable appeal.

The excited young students got an exclusive tour of the Whitten Oval facilities, participated in an education and leadership session and finished the day with a footy clinic with Bulldogs players Nathan Djerrkura and Zephaniah Skinner.

The boys took the opportunity to learn about how important schooling and education is as well as leadership and how they can show it within their community.

The students also learnt about the importance of healthy eating and got to know a bit more about the day to day lives of AFL Players.

The Western Bulldogs were pleased to have the group of young men at the Club and were thrilled to be able to support the project.

The group will be coming back down to Melbourne for a Football Academy in a few months, and the Club will be hoping to get them to a game to support the Red, White and Blue.
