The Western Bulldogs can confirm that it is currently working with Victoria Police investigating allegations of fraud at the Club.
The alleged fraud was detected internally at the end of 2010 as a result of improved internal control procedures following the appointment of our current CFO. The matter was immediately reported to Victoria Police and is now a matter under investigation.
The Western Bulldogs will continue to work with investigators and will not be making any further comment in relation to the matter until this has been completed to not risk compromising the investigation.
It is important to note however that all money under investigation has been recovered.
The Club will not make any further comment on this issue at this time.
