THE WESTERN Bulldogs are aiming to capitalise on their record membership figure recorded in 2008 by pushing beyond the magical 30,000 supporter mark next year and reaching 32,000.

The Dogs launched their membership marketing campaign last Friday, with the club offering a range of packages suitable for all financial situations.

In a bid to surpass the 29,195 members the club had registered at the end of the most recent football calendar year, coach Rodney Eade called on supporters to dig deep in 2009.

"We kicked off our membership marketing on Friday for 2009, and with the economic climate we know there's going to be some people that have question marks," he said.

"We're one of the lowest membership bases, even though we broke our record last year, and we're aiming for 32,000 members.

"With the way we played last year and our younger players coming through, there are exciting times ahead so hopefully supporters can get on board."

This year, the club improved membership processes in order to make signing up easier for fans to become a "Bulldog for Life".

The Dogs became the first AFL club to launch a BPAY option for payment, which was viewed as popular along with the "MyBulldogs Seat View" technology that enabled fans to see a real-life view of their reserved seat at Telstra Dome while booking online.

This pre-season, the Bulldogs will offer members that join or re-sign a season 2008 highlights DVD if they register before December 19.

The Bulldogs are offering a variety of game and non-game memberships again, with different levels available for the former and a host of alternatives – including kids' and pet packages – for the latter.
