As many as five players could be back in the mix for selection this weekend as the Western Bulldogs prepare to take on Richmond, including Saturday’s late withdrawals Tom Williams and Justin Sherman.
Withdrawn from the side that took on North Melbourne with soreness, Williams is expected to be available for this weekend’s clash according to Club Physiotherapist Alicia Tang.

“Unfortunately he was still having some soreness in his ankle, we gave him every chance to get up but it just wasn’t worth taking the risk,” Tang said.
“Looking at him today he is much improved so we are expecting him to be fine this weekend.”
Meanwhile, Sherman was suffering from a virus and did not recover in time to take on the Kangaroos.
“He was still feeling unwell with a bit of a virus and we sort of tried to give him every chance to get up but still feeling unwell in the morning, so we decided it was best to give him the week off,” Tang said.
Pacey Utility Jason Tutt may not be as unfortunate, undergoing scans to determine the extent of a hamstring injury he endured during the match against the Kangaroos.
“He had some tightness and we have had him scanned so we are just waiting on those results and we will assess from there,” she said.
Tutt is the only injury to come out of Saturday’s game, while the remainder of the injury list is continuing to make strides in their rehab.
After a period on the sidelines Easton Wood (general tightness), Lukas Markovic (hamstring) and Adam Cooney (knee) are also making their case for selection - subject to a fitness test at the end of the week.
Mid-sized forward Shaun Higgins is making progress in his rehabilitation of a hamstring injury but is still listed as being one week away.
