WESTERN Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade says alleviating the club of "list cloggers" over the past five years has left him with a solid line up to take into the 2010 season.

Eade says the future is bright for the Dogs after putting half a decade of work into assembling the 46-man list that just claimed its first silverware in 40 years with its NAB Cup win over St Kilda on Saturday night.

"We haven't had anyone that's a list clogger," he said at the club's jumper presentation on Wednesday night at Crown.

"Experience has told me from the previous club I was at that you tend to at times goes for depth players that have played five or six games that are 22, 23, 24 and are not going to improve.

"What we've done is we've decided to give kids a go if we get injuries, and I think that has left the list in good stead".

Eade forecast more senior games this year for forward hope Jarrad Grant and midfielder Easton Wood, debuts for Liam Jones, Jordan Roughead and newly elevated rookie Brodie Moles, and said high hopes were held for injured duo Ayce Cordy and Sam Reid.

He also believes his players have already put their NAB Cup triumph behind them and have realigned their focus on Collingwood in 11 days' time.

"We've started well but we've only played four teams. We haven't played 15," he said.

"We realise the main competition is a lot tougher and there are a lot of good sides in this competition.

"We finished third last year so there's two teams ahead of us ... For us to get back to where we were last year will take a lot of effort."

Ruckman Ben Hudson said it was business as usual the day after the Dogs' drought-breaking pre-season premiership win.

"It was pretty low-key. We had recovery and nothing too out of the ordinary," he said.

"We've had a bit of success at the start of the year but that doesn't guarantee us success at the end of the year."

The presentation of pre-season hero Barry Hall's No.28 jumper brought one of the biggest cheers to the Palladium during the season launch function.

Hudson said his new teammate had settled in well amidst the hype that had surrounded his arrival and 17-goal pre-season.

"He's come back with a point to prove. There would have been some doubters from the other teams that didn't get him and for those that said he'd played his last game," Hudson said.

"He's a fairly competitive man at heart and he's started off well and I'm sure he'll hit round one as hard as he has the NAB Cup."
