The Western Bulldogs have added triple premiership player Joel Corey as Development Coach ahead of its 2014 pre-season campaign.

Corey will join the Club after an illustrious playing career where he was an influential member of Geelong’s recent on-field success across 276 games at the top level.

General Manager of Football, Graham Lowe said Corey had a lot to offer the club with his experience and leadership and will fit in well with the current Bulldogs coaching staff.

“Joel is highly-respected across the industry for his selfless attitude and desire to make his peers better and we are thrilled to again have someone of such high calibre choose to join the Western Bulldogs.”

“We know Joel is a high-quality person, and his premiership experience along with his outstanding character make him an excellent addition to our group of coaches as well as the football department broadly.”

Selected at pick eight in the 1999 AFL draft, Corey was awarded all-Australian honours on two occasions as well as two best and fairest awards in 14 seasons.
