Ruckman Will Minson will remain a Bulldogs player until at least the end of 2016, after agreeing to a new deal today.

Minson continued on from his stellar 2012 season and was again dominant 2013, culminating in All-Australian selection and a top three placing in the Club’s best and fairest award.

The South Australian has played 43 out of a possible 44 games since the arrival of Coach Brendan McCartney, amassing more hit-outs in those two seasons, than he had in the previous seven.

List Manager Jason McCartney said Minson had worked extremely hard to improve all facets of his game and the contract extension was just reward for his effort.

“Will has set a great example to our younger players in the way he conducts himself around the Club and has shown that he is an extremely valuable member of our team,” McCartney said.

“We’ve seen how hard he has worked over the years to get better, and are thrilled he is producing the type of football we know he’s capable of.”

The 28-year-old has played 158 games since being selected at 20 in the 2002 National Draft.
