Western Bulldogs veteran Adam Cooney will be restricted to the sidelines for the next two weeks after scans confirmed a small hamstring bleed.

Cooney was monitored post match after noticing tightness in his right hamstring after the Gold Coast game, but when it did not improve, Bulldogs medical staff sent him for scans.

“Adam felt tightness in his right hamstring towards the end of the game on Saturday,” Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said.

“An MRI revealed a small bleed within the muscle, which will keep him sidelined for two weeks.”

Cooney has kicked nine goals in eight games this season, while averaging 23 possessions and two tackles per game.
