Forward Stewart Crameri is expecting to come up against a fierce Carlton outfit on Sunday, and says the Western Bulldogs will need to be at their best to collect the four points.
Aware of Carlton’s potential, Crameri said the Bulldogs would enter the clash prepared for a tough encounter, as the Club searches for their third consecutive win.
“It’s going to [have to] be a big one from the Club… we’re going to put up a good fight,” Crameri told Triple M Rush Hour yesterday.
“I know Carlton are too, so I’ll be ready for it.
“They’ll bounce back, I think they are just in a flat spot at the moment.”
Crameri’s form over the past fortnight has been encouraging, but it’s the form of his fellow forwards that has the 25-year-old most excited.
“Jonesy was great [against the Giants], and it’s great to see him and [Jake] Stringer and [Lachie] Hunter all play really well,” he said.
“I think he [Jones] kicked three last week, three again this week, so hopefully he can keep going like that.”
It’s not just Crameri’s young teammates that have impressed the forward, with Robert Murphy recent form also noteworthy.
“The old boys [are] doing really [well] at the moment. Murph’s turning back the clock I think,” he said.
The Bulldogs holds a strong recent record against Carlton, winning the past four encounters by an average margin of 35 points.
