Participants of the Bulldogs Nallei Jerring Koorie Youth Program went on a cultural excursion to the Bunjilaka Centre at the Melbourne Museum today to tour the exhibit.

Aimed at increasing participant knowledge of their culture and identity, the excursion incorporated a range of educational and interactive displays at the Bunjilaka.

With the additional information available at Bunjilaka, a number of participants were able to trace back and discover additional information and facts they did not know about their Koorie heritage.

The young men and women were also given the opportunity to learn about different Indigenous political leaders and history, creation stories, different generations, Indigenous artefacts from across Australia and much more.

The next Koorie Youth excursion is to the You Yangs National Park, followed by the program graduation at Etihad Stadium in August.
