The Western Bulldogs will go into the upcoming NAB AFL Draft with five live picks after delisting defender Daniel Pearce today.
The Bulldogs have committed to re-drafting the 21-year-old however, as a rookie listed player for season 2015.
After an impressive debut season in 2012 where he played five senior games, Pearce has not added to that tally, primarily due to injuries.
“We will give Daniel every opportunity to continue to develop at our club, albeit as a rookie,” List Manager Jason McCartney said.
“With a bit of bit of luck with his body, Daniel can be an important player for us.
“In light of that, we have committed to re-drafting him as a rookie.”
The Bulldogs hold 26,27,39,45,46 as live picks in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft and have already committed to selecting Zaine Cordy (father-son) with pick 64.
Pearce was selected with pick 49 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft
