Midfielder Lin Jong faces at least two weeks on the sidelines after being cited by the Match Review Panel following the Bulldogs’ clash with Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
Jong can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea, after being charged with bumping or making forceful contact from front-on against Matt Buntine during the first quarter of the round nine match.
The incident was assessed by the MRP as careless conduct with high impact to the head and was classified as a three-match sanction.
Jong has no applicable record which impacts the penalty and an early plea enables the 22-year old to accept a two-match sanction.
