Luke Dahlhaus is shaping as a possible addition to the Western Bulldogs side this Sunday, with Club medical staff hopeful the small forward will be available to face Carlton.
Restricted to the sidelines with calf soreness last week, Dahlhaus has benefited from the rest and Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said the 21-year-old is every chance to play on Sunday.
“Luke had some calf soreness last week [and] we didn’t feel he was right to get up and play,” McKenzie said.
“That has settled down quite well over the last few days, we will assess him throughout the week and he should be hopeful to play this week.”
Scans have confirmed Dale Morris sustained an ankle sprain in Saturday’s clash against the GWS Giants and the defender will be monitored this week.
“Dale had the left ankle injury on the weekend and had the scan yesterday which showed an ankle sprain,” he said.
“We will just see how he settles down over the coming days and we will take it from that position.”
Fellow defender Jordan Roughead successfully underwent surgery on his shoulder and will now turn his focus to resuming training with the rehabilitation group.
“Jordan had a successful repair of his AC joint, he is feeling good at the moment and he’s got another review coming up with a specialist,” he said.
Jarrad Grant is also making gains in his return from a foot injury and McKenzie expects the forward will resume training with the main playing group in the next fortnight.
“Jarrad’s been training well, his program is going along nicely and we look forward to him actually returning to the squad training sometime soon,” he said.
