Season in short:

With his 2013 season cut short by injury, Johannisen was looking for a big 2013 to establish himself in the Bulldogs’ best 22.

Although struggling in the first half of the season to find form, playing between the AFL and VFL, Johannisen played six of the last seven matches of the home and away season, missing one game with a calf injury.

Johannisen was a late inclusion in the round 17 side against Gold Coast and took the opportunity, finding his best form of the season, with 25 disposals, three marks and one goal.

Johannisen averaged 16 disposals for the year, and finished the season as part of the VFL premiership-winning side.

The stat that mattered:

The lightning quick defender signed a three-year deal in 2014 that will see him at the Bulldogs until the end of 2017.
