Western Bulldogs vice-president Susan Alberti has been recognised with life membership at the Club’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday.
Alberti has served as a member of the Club’s board since 2004 and was rewarded for her continual backing and support of the Club, not just in her tenure as board member but as a lifetime Bulldogs supporter.
“Of all the awards and accolades that I have received in my lifetime, this sits at the very top”, Alberti said, after being presented with the award.
“I’m just so proud and I can’t tell you what it means.”
Alberti is also Director of the Club’s Forever Foundation, and has been a pioneer for women’s football, overseeing the start-up of the Western Bulldogs women’s side over the last two years.
Former Bulldogs board member and Labor minister, the late Lynne Kosky was recognised with life membership, with husband Jim Williamson accepting the award.
Outgoing CEO Simon Garlick was rewarded for his 13-year stint as both a player and administrator, while recent retiree Tom Williams also received life membership on the night.
Former Bulldogs player and current secretary of the Past Players Owen Madigan, and long-time Bulldogs supporter Nola Sherwell were also recipients of life membership.
