Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson has been issued with a four week suspension by the VFL Tribunal for intentionally making contact with an umpire.
The penalty was handed down on Tuesday night following the VFL tribunal hearing at AFL Victoria's headquarters at Ikon Park.
The Western Bulldogs will appeal the four match sanction handed down to Minson by the VFL Tribunal.
Minson was sent off with a red card in Sunday's round six VFL match between the Footscray Bulldogs and North Ballarat on Sunday afternoon for making contact with an umpire, with the case subsequently referred to the VFL tribunal.
