The Western Bulldogs look set to welcome back experienced pair Matthew Boyd and Liam Picken for their clash with North Melbourne.
Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe confirmed the pair had come through their week off well, and would progress through training this week.
“Both Matthew and Liam have come through and come into the start of this week really well and got through what they needed to over the weekend so there’s some really good signs.
“We certainly need to train them on the back end of the week but signs are really good for them to be fit and available for this weekend.”
The Bulldogs came out of their clash with West Coast in round 21 with some minor injury concerns but all players are likely to be available for selection this weekend against North Melbourne.
Jarrad Grant suffered a heavy knock in the final term of the match, suffering a broken nose, and Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe said he would be monitored throughout the week.
“Jarrad had a heavy collision in the match and he came off with a broken nose.
"We’ll monitor him this week and assuming he ticks all the boxes he needs to, he’ll be available for selection this weekend.”
Defender Dale Morris was subbed out of the game with an achilles complaint but Lowe said he expected the veteran to be available on the weekend.
“Dale had a bit of achilles aggravation in one of his legs, we just wanted to manage him conservatively through that.
“He’s come in well this week, he’s presented well today and he’ll get through training this week with a view to being available for selection this weekend.”
Fellow defender Michael Talia rolled his ankle against the Eagles, but managed to play out the match.
“Michael rolled his ankle during the game, he played out the game and we just want to make sure we give him every opportunity we can to present himself to make himself available to play this week, so we’re just managing him in the right ways.”
