Western Bulldogs midfielder Caleb Daniel will be up for the Best First Year Player award at Tuesday’s AFL Players Association MVP Awards.
The 19-year-old has been nominated by his teammates and will contend for the award alongside 17 other first year players from each AFL club.
The 167-centimetre South Australian has excelled in his first season at the Bulldogs, playing 10 games and averaging 13 disposals and two tackles.
He has made a habit of having a big impact final term, after starting as the substitute in several matches.
His most dominant performance came in round 18 against Essendon, where he collected 19 disposals, three marks and two goals.
