The Western Bulldogs had five Coates Hire Goal of the Year nominations in 2015, however none were among the three listed finalists announced on Monday.
Young guns Jake Stringer and Marcus Bontempelli shared the Bulldogs Goal of the Year nominations between them, with Stringer receiving three nominations and Bontempelli two.
At the conclusion of the home and away season, the All-Australian Selection Committee selected the three finalists for marks and goals from the 23 weekly selections. The selection was based on a 5/4/3/2/1 vote given by each member of the selection committee.
Nat Fyfe (Fremantle), Jordan Murdoch (Geelong Cats) and Eddie Betts (Adelaide Crows) have been named the finalists for the award to be presented
