The 23-year-old was cheered by the Whitten Oval faithful for every possession and displayed his usual grunt through the middle to end with five tackles in the seven-point win.

Despite not hitting the scoreboard, Tom Boyd showed some promising signs in his second match back from a shoulder injury.

The former No.1 draft pick competed well in the ruck and was well complemented by Will Minson who kicked a goal.
