A career high four goals couldn't ease the disappointment of Western Bulldogs forward Luke Dahlhaus after his side succumb to a fast finishing Carlton by 18 points at Etihad Stadium last night.
Leading by as much as 25-points late in the second term, the Blues capitalised on their opportunities in front of goals to kick clear in an 11 goals to four second half.

"We played very well in the first half, but not good enough in the second half. It's very disappointing, but we'll come back next week," said Dahlhaus.
Only one of five Bulldogs to have played every game of season 2012, Dahlhaus was at his eye catching best - dangerous with ball in hand and inspired in his defensive pressure.
Statisticians denoted Dahlhaus for 22 pressure acts across the game, second only to teammate Liam Picken's game high 24.

The leading goal kicker on the field, 19 year-old Dahlhaus praised the performance of Tom Williams as a focal point up front for the Bulldogs.
"He's been huge since he's come in Tommy [Williams], he's just been a great option."
Williams kicked two goals, collected 12 possessions and took three marks, however it was his work rate and willingness to provide a contest that earned the greatest respect.
"You can tell every one-on-one contest he'll give it his all and hardly loses. That's exactly what we want." added Dahlhaus.
