The Western Bulldogs will celebrate their Member Recognition Round this week, building up to Saturday night's match against St Kilda.

Every weekday, the Club will turn the spotlight onto one of the Club's members and share their story, showcasing the passion they have for the red, white and blue.

Members were invited to submit their story to westernbulldogs.com.au last week. Each member whose story is shared this week on westernbulldogs.com.au, will receive a double pass to be involved in the guard of honour for Saturday night's match.

I became a Western Bulldogs Member because...

I was born into it. My first game was at 4 days old against Melbourne at the MCG in 1970. I have only missed a
handful of interstate matches since.

My favourite Bulldogs football memory is…

Hard to chose as there are so many but my 30th birthday is hard to beat. It was the night when Chris Grant kicked that
famous match winning goal against Essendon, we were the only team to beat them all season.

Very memorable and happy birthday to me!

The Bulldogs are important to me because…

They changed my life. In the 46 years I have barracked for them I have experienced so much happiness and sadness,
lots of friendships. They give me hope and I fully believe my loyalty will one day very soon be rewarded with a
premiership.

27 years ago this Friday, I met my husband on a footy trip to Sydney. We have not missed a home game
together since and have had 2 children, who like me, were also born in to it having attended their first games when they
were both only 1 week old.

I love the Bulldogs with all my heart as do my family.

My first memory of being a Bulldogs member, or going to a Bulldogs match is…

In 1974 at VFL Park. I had a teddy bear named "Dempsey" and we were so excited that we beat Hawthorn however on
our way to the bus I realised I had lost my Dempsey. Lots of tears for a 4 year old!

Will you be attending the Round 18 game against StKilda on Saturday 23 July?

Yes, definitely. I wouldn't miss it.
