Football will return to Victoria University Whitten Oval in round one of the 2017 pre-season competition the AFL announced today.
The Bulldogs will face Melbourne on Saturday, 18 February in the first AFL game at the Club’s spiritual home since the Dogs’ defeated Richmond by 22 points in Luke Beveridge’s coaching debut in 2015.
A Thursday night date with Brisbane under lights at Etihad Stadium follows before the Dogs head north to take on the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium in the final hit out before the beginning of the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season on March 24.
The pre-season competition has been rebadged as the JLT Community Series.
