The Western Bulldogs have made four changes to the side that defeated St.Kilda before the bye, with Matthew Boyd and Travis Cloke headlining the inclusions to face Sydney on Thursday night.

Boyd returns for his first game since Round Eight against West Coast after recovering from a shoulder injury, while Cloke has been named as a replacement for Tom Boyd who’ll miss with a back injury.

And Toby McLean’s strong VFL has proven irresistible to the match committee, who’ve brought the small forward back for is first game in a month after averaging 32 disposals and 14 tackles per game for Footscray.

Fletcher Roberts comes in for Dale Morris who will miss with an ankle injury, while Zaine Cordy, Mitch Honeychurch and Jack Redpath are the emergencies.

The Bulldogs have won their last four encounters with the Swans, including two at the SCG, but with the his side yet to salute outside of Victoria this season, coach Luke Beveridge is keen for his side to break the duck on Thursday night.

“This year, I’ve said it a couple of times, we haven’t won interstate yet, whereas we won six out of eight last year so we’re looking at getting our names in the winning side of the ledger interstate,” he said.

“They’re always hard to beat, interstate teams, but Sydney at their best is a good scalp if you can get it, so we’ll do it everything we can to pull it off.”
