The Western Bulldogs continue to strengthen their relationship with Victoria University, with the Club’s premier partnership now extending to the AFLW side.
Along with holding naming rights of Victoria University Whitten Oval, being a major partner of the Footscray Bulldogs, Victoria University now supports the Bulldogs women’s side on the Club’s media backdrop and match day signage – reinforcing the Club’s ‘one club, three teams’ focus.
The new partnership reaffirms Victoria University’s relationship with the Club on and off the field, with current Bulldogs midfielder Kirsty Lamb a former VU student and ruck Ellyse Gamble is a VU Sports Trainee candidate.
Professor Peter Dawkins, Vice Chancellor of Victoria University, said he welcomed the opportunity for VU to engage with all three Bulldogs teams.
“Partnering with the new women’s team is also in keeping with VU’s aims to not just be Australia’s leading sport university but to be leaders in the study of women’s sport.”
