The Western Bulldogs have secured talented midfielder Sarah Poustie with Pick 25 in the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft.
A balanced and well-rounded player, Poustie has a proven ability to play both as an inside and outside midfielder – boasting strong records in both positions.
Poustie, a self-described life-long footy fanatic, was an integral part of the Oakleigh Chargers’ premiership-winning team in 2024 averaging 24.4 disposals, 3.8 marks and 10.4 tackles.
Her performances with the Chargers did not go unrewarded as she finished runner-up in the back-to-back premiership team.
Unmissable on the field in her trademark black helmet, the 18-year-old’s endurance saw her outwork opponents and prove to be a vital part of team transition from defence to offence.
Poustie also worked hard on her speed ahead of the Combine, setting a record for the 2km time trial in a blistering 7:02.
A 23-disposal, nine-tackle game with Collingwood VFLW was just another highlight for the youngster in what was an unforgettable lead-up to the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft.
