Luke Beveridge had one message for his chargers following yesterday’s 57-point loss to Melbourne: ‘we’re in this together.’
The Bulldogs currently sit in ninth place on the AFL ladder following consecutive losses, but Jordan Roughead, speaking to BulldogsTV post-match, said the coach’s message was clear.
“Just that we’re going to work through this together,’’ he said.
‘’We’re having a bad run, we’re going to have to put our heads down and bums up to get through it.
“He’s basically put it back in our hands, we’re going to work through it, let’s get back to our best and do it as quick as we can.’’
The Dogs face North Melbourne next Saturday afternoon at Etihad Stadium off of a six-day break but Roughead said the short turnaround is a good thing on the back of a loss.
“Sometimes six day breaks are better than longer ones because you get a chance to get out there and redeem yourself and obviously we’ll be looking forward to doing that.’’
Roughead had a game high nine tackles, to go along with nineteen disposals and 24 hitouts in 100 per cent of game time.
