First year tall Lewis Young was the standout performer in Footscray’s eight-point loss to Casey, while midfielder Clay Smith made a strong return to play after missing three weeks with a calf injury, kicking two goals to go along with 20 touches and eight tackles.
Lukas Webb continues to get plenty of the footy, collecting 27 disposals, while second-year defender Kieran Collins was solid down back.
Ruckman Tom Campbell was influential in the ruck with 54 hitouts.
