The Western Bulldogs’ defence will be bolstered by the return of veteran Dale Morris for Saturday’s clash against Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
Morris, who suffered a partial ACL tear in February, has been named in the Bulldogs’ side following his return to football through the VFL a fortnight ago.
Mitch Honeychurch has earned a senior recall, while Zaine Cordy (concussion) and Bailey Dale (foot) will be unavailable.
Honeychurch last played senior football in round eight, he kicked two goals from 16 disposals against Collingwood in the VFL on Saturday.
The Western Bulldogs will mark Sir Doug Nicholls Round on Saturday by wearing an Indigenous guernsey designed by 16-year-old Wurundjeri - Yorta Yorta artist, Cooper Craig-Peters.
The Bulldogs have had the better of Melbourne in recent times, winning five of eight contests since 2013.
