Western Bulldogs skipper Easton Wood has achieved plenty throughout his footy career.

But Sunday’s match will mark a career-first for the 29-year-old.

For the first time in his 12-year AFL career, Wood will finally play every game in a home-and-away season.

“It’ll be great to play every game for the season for the first time,” Wood said.

“Twelfth time’s a charm.

“It’s been nice. I’m at that age where I know what my body needs and the medical staff know me really well, and we’ve been able to manage it.

IT’S ALL ON THE LINE, SAYS WOOD

“Obviously a bit of luck goes into it too.

“I’m fortunate, and rapt to be in the position that we’re in to really be pushing to solidify our spot in the top eight.”

Wood has again been an important member of the Bulldogs’ defensive group in 2019, and notched his 150th career game earlier this year.

The closest he had come to the feat prior to this year was in 2015, where he played 22 matches – including a final – and missed one home-and-away match.
