Midfielder Nathan Hrovat is likely to be fit for the start of the AFL Premiership season, after scans today revealed only a minor fracture to his right cheekbone.

Hrovat received the accidental knock late in the second quarter of last night’s win against St Kilda, clashing heads with teammate Koby Stevens.

The 19-year-old will avoid contact to the area for two weeks, but is expected to be available for selection prior to season proper.

The Bulldogs first round clash with West Coast will be played at Patersons Stadium on Sunday, 23 March 2014.
