Over four and a half thousand Western Bulldogs faithful braved the heat and blustery conditions to attend the annual Family Day at Victoria University Whitten Oval today.
After an open training session, where players were put through their paces in front of cheering fans, an player autograph session and an address by President Peter Gordon followed.

President Gordon thanked the fans for supporting the Club and urged all Bulldogs people to get behind the team in 2014.
“A big thank you to those who contributed and bought their membership early,” Gordon said.
“I’m really pumped about this year, and I hope you are too.”
Gordon’s spoke confidently of the progress McCartney’s men have made and quoted TV show Breaking Bad about his predictions for the season ahead.
“We’ve got a great list and we have a great coaching panel… In 2014, the Bulldogs are not in danger, we are the danger,” Gordon said.
The players were presented with their guernseys on stage by selected Dahlhaus Clubhouse members including new arrivals, Stewart Crameri, Sam Darley, Marcus Bontempelli, Matt Fuller and Mitch Honeychurch.
The Club’s inaugural VFL team were also in attendance and received their guernseys, led by co-captains and former Bulldogs Nick Lower and Lukas Markovic.
Members and fans enjoyed a host of activities throughout the day, with Bulldogs mascot Woofer’s appearance the highlight for many.
