Western Bulldogs ruck Tim English has been named for the Club’s crunch clash with the GWS Giants at Mars Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Despite injuring his ankle a fortnight ago, English resumes his place in the midfield, while Arthur Jones is set to play his first game of the season.
The small forward hasn’t featured in the senior side since Round 22 last year but, has earned his place and will be given a chance to impress after being named in Luke Beveridge’s 23-man side.
Forward Rhylee West will miss the match due to a broken jaw, while Buku Khamis has been omitted.
Jones joins, Caleb Daniel, Harvey Gallagher, Jack Macrae and James O’Donnell on the interchange bench, with one player set to be named sub an hour before the game.
Khamis, Riley Garcia and Caleb Poulter are the emergencies.
Luke Beveridge will coach his 229th match for the Western Bulldogs on Sunday, becoming the longest serving coach for the football club, surpassing the legendary Ted Whitten.
The game will also mark an important milestone for Bailey Williams, who will chalk up his 150th appearance in the red, white and blue.
Selected with pick number 48 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft, the South Australian has shown class and versatility since arriving at Mission Whitten Oval with his reliability around the ground an important part of the team dynamic.
The first bounce will be at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon, with victory assuring the Dogs their place in the 2024 Toyota AFL Finals Series.
