Team chemistry will be a key focus of the Western Bulldogs’ upcoming ASICS pre-season camp in Noosa, says Rhylee West.
The Bulldogs will spend a week on the Sunshine Coast as part of the camp, which will also include a full intra-club match simulation this Sunday morning.
“It’s been really good – we’ve been able to establish a lot of reps together while building our chemistry, so we’re really excited by what’s to come,” West said.
“Going up to Noosa, we’ll look to build on that team chemistry. We’ve got a really good group...everyone’s so friendly and gets along really well, so if we keep building on our chemistry then our game-plan will flow on-field too.”
West enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2024, playing 21 games with an average return of 12.1 disposals, 3.2 tackles and 2.9 marks.
He also contributed a career-high 25 goals.
“A big focus this pre-season was just getting as fit as I could to be able to cover the ground for longer periods of time,” he said.
“That’ll allow me to get to more contests and use my creativity more.
“I think there’s always motivation going into a season...just to get better year on year.”
