Daniel Giansiracusa’s on field influence is like having an extra forward coach on game day according to small forward Luke Dahlhaus.
The Club veteran has provided Dahlhaus with words of wisdom and advice over the past three years and has been influential in the exciting forward’s development.
“Gia is very outspoken, he’s a confident man and he has been very good for me,” Dahlhaus said.
“I think he will be a brilliant coach, he’s already sort of a coach for us with his age and experience in the forward line, so we’ve got an extra forward coach in him.”
The 20-year-old has been learning to deal with closer attention this season and his recent performance in the team’s 22-point win over West Coast Eagles proves the small forward can still break games open.
Dahlhaus’ four goals was complemented by 29 disposals, seven inside 50s and two goal assists in a clinical display.
“[I’ve been told] to play that high half forward type of role and bring a lot of forward pressure and tackling,” he said.
“Whenever the ball comes to me just try to create and just basically get to the feet of the big blokes like Liam Jones and Jarrad Grant.”
